21 Best Things to Do in Philadelphia

Get that cheesesteak to go—you've got a lot of ground to cover.

Philadelphia might hold the title of the fifth largest city in the United States, but it often doesn’t feel like it. It's an intimate city in spite of its size; most of its biggest draws, from The Liberty Bell to the Philadelphia Museum of Art (home to the Rocky steps) to the Italian Market, can be explored on foot. If you lose your way or want a local recommendation, just ask. Philadelphians are proud to show off their city. To help you get started though, we've curated this list of the very best things to do in Philadelphia.

Where You Should Be Eating in Fitler Square

Our favorite spots to grab a bite in one of the city’s most delicious neighborhoods.

Is Fitler Square the sweetest neighborhood in the city? It’s definitely possible. This little pocket of the city (which extends from Locust Street down to Lombard; from 21st street over the Schuykill) is a handful of idyllic, adorable blocks. Less glitzy than Rittenhouse, but a little fancier than Graduate Hospital, it’s a lovely place to hang, live, and especially eat. In fact, it’s home to some of our favorite restaurants in the city. Here are our go-to places in the neighborhood to grab a bite.
